Academic Support Programs anticipates
hiring approximately 40 teaching assistants (TAs) each year.
Teaching assistants spend between 10-12 hours per
week in schedule contact and between 8-10 hours per
week preparing for the study groups, individual
assistance, academic assistance sessions, critiquing
papers, and attending planning meetings with the
Associate Vice Chancellor and the assigned professor.
In total, TAs work 20 hours per week. They are paid
$8.50 per hour.
