The Southern University Law Center, Office of Career Counseling and Development is committed to the following:

  • Providing specialized career counseling, collecting and distributing vital information and resources, and offering critical skills training, while leading the efforts of the law school to establish relationships with employers.

  • Becoming a major marketing and outreach program for the Law Center.

  • Becoming an invaluable resource for both law students and graduates as they chart their career paths.

The Career Counseling and Development Office is located in Suite 116 of the Southern University Law Center and is open for business between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Monday and Friday and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday. The office staff consists of a director, career counselor, secretary, and two student workers.
