Donald North, associate professor
and director of the Clinical Education Program since
1999, received his B.A. and A.S. degrees from
Grambling State University and his J.D. from SULC.
North is clinical professor of the Criminal Law
Clinic. North served in the United States Army’s
Judge Advocate General Corps and continues as a
reservist with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. North
left active military duty in 1991 to join the
Louisiana Department of Justice as an Assistant
Attorney General, serving as a prosecutor in the
criminal and Medicaid fraud divisions. He joined the
Law Center faculty in 1998.
