To provide the best possible learning experience,
Southern University Law Center provides its students
with a wide range of services. Academic, financial
and personal advising and counseling are viewed as
necessary services to law students because of the
rigors of law study. Students are encouraged to meet
with the appropriate administrators to discuss
academic plans, questions about the profession,
personal concerns, summer activities, and other
matters. You are welcome to schedule appointments or
stop by on a drop-in basis.
In addition to working with individual students, the
associate vice chancellor for student affairs
interfaces with the Student Bar Association and all
the student organizations, supporting their social
and community activities. With prior application and
approval, special funding is made available as much
possible for special events such as conferences,
workshops, and community-building social occasions.
