Jacqueline Nash, clinical
professor for the Juvenile Law Clinic, received her
B.A. and J.D. from Southern. Nash also served as
coach and adviser for the American Trial Lawyers
Association Mock Trial team. Prior to joining the
clinic staff full-time in February 1998, Nash was an
adjunct professor with clinic during the fall
semester 1997. Since 1983, Nash has maintained a
private practice, concentrating on juvenile and
administrative law. She is the owner and operator of
Blessed Event Adoptions, a private adoption agency,
specializing in the placement of minority children.
From 1992 through 1995, she was the Executive
Director of the Louisiana Legal Consortium, Inc., a
Legal Services training and support program. She was
a supervising attorney for the Public Benefits
Section and Elderly Protective Services of Capital
Area Legal Services from 1989 to 1992. Nash also was
Regional Attorney for the Office of Community
Services and an Assistant Parish Attorney for the
City-Parish government of Baton Rouge. Nash is a
national motivational speaker and has been published
in the fields of international human rights and
access to justice.
