The Law Center’s Scholarship Committee announces the following two scholarship opportunities:
DUDLEY DEBOSIER SCHOLARSHIPS
The Law Firm of Dudley DeBosier Injury Lawyers is giving out two law scholarships worth $2,500 each to eligible students. The scholarship deadline for the upcoming school year (2017-2018) is July 7, 2017. The eligibility requirements are as follows: The law school scholarship program will be open to all individuals who are currently enrolled in a law degree program within the United States. All scholarship applicants will be evaluated on uniform standards using the same form and evaluation standards. All applicants must meet the minimum admissions standards of an educational institution. All eligible applicants must be considered without regard to race, sex, religion, or national origin. LA JUDICIAL COUNCIL FOUNDATION NATIONAL BAR ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP
The Louisiana Association of Black Judges, through the Louisiana Judicial Council of the National Bar Association Foundation, formally announces its annual scholarship essay contest. The scholarship solicitation letter can be downloaded here and the essay questions can be accessed here. The award is in the amount of $2,000 for one academic year, and will be given to one student at each of the four Louisiana law schools. The scholarship applications must be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org on or before Sunday, September 17, 2017. The scholarship will be awarded at the council’s annual meeting in New Orleans, LA on Monday, October 2, 2017.
