News and Events

News and events services are provided by the Office of Publications and Electronic Media. Our primary goal is to publicize the activities and achievements of faculty, staff, students, and alumni.  The Southern University Law Center has more than 3,000 people working to reach new heights of excellence and more than 200 activities each year that provide opportunities for inspiring, enlightening, assisting, and entertaining the communities we serve.

The Office of Publications and Electronic Media produces communication and publicity tools for those "making news" in student life, faculty/staff accomplishments , and community service. Getting the word out about your achievements and activities can be accomplished in a number of ways, including:

News releases and public service announcements
Brochures, posters, and programs
Feature articles in Reflections, SULC E-News, Jaguar Nation, SU Insider, and external publications
Entries in the Law Center Experts Directory and Southern University Media Guide
Press conferences connected with noteworthy announcements
Interviews with local, state, and national media
Photos and bios provided for publication
Listing events on Law Center's master calendar
Web site, plasma screen, and e-mail announcements
Photographic, graphic, audiotaping and/or videotaping, and editorial services
