MOOT COURT
Each spring, the SULC Marshall-Brennan
Constitutional Literacy Project hosts a program-wide
moot court competition for the students in local
Marshall-Brennan classes. Students prepare and
compete in their classrooms; the winners from each
class are invited to compete against each other for
a two-day-long, citywide oral argument contest held
at Southern University Law Center and a Baton Rouge
court.
Eight winners from the regional competition are
invited to participate in the National
Marshall-Brennan High School Moot Court Competition
that is held in Philadelphia, PA
ANNUAL ESSAY, POETRY, & ARTS CONTEST

Each year the Marshall-Brennan Project hosts the
annual SULC Marshall-Brennan Project Celebration and
Awards Banquet. During the Celebration the high
school students demonstrate their intellectual
achievement through the presentation of entries
about constitutional rights in the form of essays,
poetry, and art. The winners in each category
receive a cash prize and are recognized at the
Annual Marshall-Brennan Banquet.
