Adrienne Shields

Adrienne Shields is a native of Baldwin, LA. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, from Southern University. She received her Juris Doctor degree from Southern University Law Center. Ms. Shields has a Masters of Library and Information Science and a certificate in Records Management from Louisiana State University.
After graduating from the law center, Ms. Shields joined the staff of SULC as a Reference Librarian. She has served as the Interim Director of Library Services. She currently holds the position of Associate Director of Library Services and Instructor of Law. Ms. Shields is a member of the SULC Off-Campus Instructional Site (OCIS) Team, an Ad Hoc Member of the NextGen Bar Exam Committee, and a member of Behavioral Intervention Team (BAIT). She also assists with the administration of law center scholarships and researching outside scholarship opportunities.
Ms. Shields has taught the following courses at SULC: Legal Research, Advanced Legal Research, Law and Technology, Introduction to Intelligent Legal Systems, Urban Legal Problems, and Professional Responsibility.
Adrienne Shields is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the American Association of Law Libraries, the Southeastern Chapter of the American Association of Law Libraries, and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
