With a growing population of 800,000+, the Baton Rouge metropolitan area serves as the center for Louisiana’s state government and is part of the fifth largest port complex in the United States. As the political epicenter in Louisiana, Baton Rouge is home to the state’s legislature; many of the state agencies; federal, state district and appellate, and city courts; top private law firms; and civic and professional organizations.
In addition to an active political scene, Baton Rouge boasts an abundance of vibrant cultural and social activities and venues that has something to satisfy just about every taste and preference.
