Ashaki Tobias

Ashaki Tobias, is a native of New Orleans, LA. Her second home became Baton Rouge, LA. after Hurricane Katrina in 2005.  She is a mother of two children and graduate of the Southern University A&M College right here in Baton Rouge, LA.! She absolutely loves working to assist birthing people on their journey to parenthood within her community! 

Since the positive unmedicated birthing experience and outcome of her second baby in 2018. After such a beautiful experience and speaking out about this experience she came across many of her peers who experienced poor birthing outcomes/experiences during the labor process. Ashaki noticed the need of education, doula support and advocacy support. 

She has been nonstop since 2019 to help improve birthing outcomes in Louisiana! Ashaki became a Childbirth Educator, Certified Breastfeeding Specialist, Certified Doula and Healthy Birth Ambassador with Sista Midwife Productions in Louisiana for Region 2. She’s  passionate about her community and looking forward to bring collaborative maternity care to those who need support during pregnancy, labor and the postpartum period within hospitals, birth centers and home-birth settings!
