Carmen Green

Carmen Green is a health equity organization leader, writer, doula and doctoral student at UC San Francisco School of Nursing. As Vice President at Reproductive Health Impact, she manages the research team, policy advocacy projects, and strategic planning. Carmen worked with Louisiana Budget Project through the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities State Policy Fellowship. She was an integral leader of National Birth Equity Collaborative from its foundation. She manages capacity building contracts and writes a blog for her LLC, The Hazel Green, and is CEO of Green T Shop. Carmen has earned degrees in sociology, maternal and child health, and community health education from Wake Forest and Tulane Universities, respectively. Carmen’s continued commitment is to honor our ancestors by serving Black families and moving towards a culture of reproductive justice.
