Darius Holliday

Raised in Jacksonville, FL, Darius has always been passionate about social activism and advocating for disadvantaged communities. Darius graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor’s in Political Science. Prior to law school, Darius served in City Year, whereas he provided academic support & mentorship to 10th grade students throughout the school year. His experience led him to understand the importance of advocating for education policy, and ensuring each school is provided equitable resources. While enrolled at SULC, Darius has externed with Hon. Judge Erin Wilder-Doomes in U.S. District Court, Louisiana Middle District. He has also served as Fellow for the Marshall-Brennan Constitutional Literacy Project, a street law clinic that teaches Constitutional law and Mock Trial strategy to high schoolers in Baton Rouge, LA. Similarly, Darius was a 2020 Peggy Brown Fellow for United Electrical, Machine, and Radio union in Pittsburgh, PA. In this role, he assisted in-house counsel with their advocacy for union members. Currently, Darius is Editor-In-Chief for Southern University Law Center’s Journal of Race, Gender, and Poverty. Upon graduation from law school, Darius hopes to pursue a career in Labor and Employment, litigation, and Privacy Law.
