Douglas Robinson

Douglas Robinson is a television network executive residing and working in Los Angeles, California. He has worked at CBS Television for the past 22 years. Currently, he holds the position of Vice-President of the Standards and Practices department for the network. Having over two decades of experience in the entertainment industry, his resume includes working with such CBS hit shows like Big Brother, Amazing Race, the Price is Right, The Big Bang Theory, and NCIS, to name a few. He has also worked on such broadcasts as the Superbowl Pre-Game and Halftime shows, the American Country Music Awards, the Emmys, and music's biggest night - the Grammys. Douglas, a native of Columbia, Louisiana, graduated from Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA with a degree in Mass Communications in 1998. It was during his time at Southern that one of his instructors encouraged him to enter an essay contest for a summer internship in Los Angeles at CBS. During that internship, he was able to network and ultimately receive an offer for employment upon graduation. Doug is a former member of the world-renowned Southern University "Human Jukebox" Marching Band and also a member of Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity. He has held the offices of both President and Vice-President of the Los Angeles Chapter of Southern University alumni. He is an avid supporter of Southern University and loves to speak to students to encourage them to attend HBCUs, especially his alma mater. Doug reveals, "I know that God has definitely blessed my career and given me many experiences to help develop me as a person. I truly believe that it is your attitude not your aptitude that determines your altitude, that is why I can honestly say, If Your Mind Can Conceive It, And Your Heart Will Believe It, Then You Can Achieve It."
