Keisha J. Kelley
Keisha J Kelley, is a native of Huntsville, AL, now residing in Atlanta GA. Ms Kelley is a 2003 graduate of Southern University & A&M College, Baton Rouge LA., with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She also earned a Master of Business Administration degree in 2019 from University of Phoenix. Keisha is the Founder and CEO of Black College Experience, an HBCU Sports Media Company, with a vision to bring positive exposure to HBCU athletics. Ms. Kelley has been working in sports radio since 2011 and has hosted 5 different sports shows in which 3 she produced. In Ms. Kelley’s current role with Black College Experience, she serves as CEO as well as sideline reporter. Her interviews range from NFL Hall of Famer, Deion Sanders, to 14 year NFL veteran Robert Mathis, and NFL Network, Steven Wyche; all who graduated from HBCUs. Keisha has covered events such as ESPNs MEAC/SWAC Challenge, NBC Sports Bayou Classic, Magic City Classic, Cricket Celebration Bowl, Top 50 NBAPA Camp, the Black College Football HOF Enshrinement, and Black College Football Hall of Fame Classic. Keisha also continues coverage with the HBCU Legacy Bowl in New Orleans, Louisiana as well as Reese’s Senior Bowl. Kelley’s brand has not only afforded her the opportunity to attend the NFL Draft, but to also cover the Draft Day Red Carpet Event. Black College Experience has been invited to events including ESPN College GameDay, media days, HBCU football showcases, career days, and sports panels. In addition to radio/media; Keisha started a scholarship fund in honor of her late father; James A Kelley in 2018. To date, she has awarded 11 scholarships to students who currently or graduated from Historically Black Colleges and Universities. Keisha also adopts seniors who plan to attend HBCU’s and helps them transition into their freshman year. Kelley also serves as a mentor for Big Brothers, Big Sisters, and Diamonds in the Rough as she knows the importance of giving back to the community. She is the current Southern University Atlanta Alumni Chapter President and also a Life Member of the Southern University Alumni National Federation. Keisha also is a fundraising captain for True Blue Foundation, where she has helped raise over twenty million dollars. Ms Kelley also continues to serve as a sports mentor for current college students. In 2021, she was selected to be a speaker for the Black Women In Media Conference as a speaker and also taught a master class on becoming a sideline reporter. She also served as a panelist for Kentucky State University speaking to more than 100 student athletes about mental health. She also served as a panelist Minority Trailblazers in Sports Conference, and has served as a past panelist with the HBCU Sports Summit. In 2019, Kelley was selected as a recipient of the prestigious 40 Under Forty Award by the Southern University Alumni Federation. In addition, she appeared in the HBCU Homecoming Documentary: The Experience in 2020, has been featured in several magazines, and was also pinned in the Inaugural Cohort of the Southern University Alumni Federation Leadership Academy in
November 2022 as an ambassador for leadership.In 2023, Keisha served as a panelist for Atlanta Women in Sports during Women’s History Month, as well as became a guest lecturer at Clark Atlanta University in the Business Entertainment department and was also named 2023 Marquis Who’s Who Honoree. Kelley is also a proud member of NABJ (National Association of Black Journalists) and has recieved several honors for work in HBCU sports media.
