Melissa Tatum

Melissa L. Tatum is a law professor specializing in tribal jurisdiction and tribal courts. She has written extensively on those topics, including being a contributing author to the 2005 edition of Felix Cohen's Handbook of Federal Indian Law. Professor Tatum was also the co-editor of the Mvskoke Law Reporter, an eight volume set containing opinions issued by the courts of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation from 1832-2006. Between 1999 and 2006, Professor Tatum served as a judge on the Southwest Intertribal Court of Appeals. She joined the University of Arizona faculty in January 2009, after serving as a faculty member at the University of Tulsa for more than thirteen years.
