Michael Binns

 Micheal Binns is a registered patent attorney who provides strategic counseling and intellectual property protection related to patent and trademark matters, including litigation, procurement, opinions, and licensing. His practice focuses on complex technologies in a variety of industries and fields, including biotechnology, logistics, chemical technology, pharmaceuticals, internet- related technology, and telecommunications.

Micheal represents Fortune 500 corporations, midsize companies, startups, and individual clients regarding global intellectual property protection. He has significant experience successfully representing clients before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and USPTO Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB). He prides himself on providing clients with a competitive advantage in sophisticated intellectual property matters.

Micheal is admitted to practice in New York, New Jersey, Washington, D.C., Georgia, and before the USPTO. He is also admitted to practice before the

U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York, the District of New Jersey, and the Northern District of Georgia, as well as the Federal Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court.

Micheal is board chair of Page Turners Make Great Learners in Atlanta, which is dedicated to expanding children's knowledge and understanding of the world, themselves, and their unique possibilities through a love of reading. He is also an active board member with the Georgia Wildlife Federation and the Spruill Center for the Arts.

Prior to practicing law, Micheal taught mathematics, biology, and chemistry at City Harvest Christian Academy in Yonkers, New York. While attending law school, he was president of the Black Law Students Association and a member of the Pepperdine national entertainment law moot court team. At Morgan State University, he served as president of the Inter-Residence Council and earned the title Mr. Junior Morgan State University.
