Michael Marshall

Michael Marshall is currently President of Business Affairs for the SPE Motion Picture Group. He oversees business affairs negotiations for development and production deals on feature projects, including rights acquisition and personal services deals for writers, directors, producers, and actors.
Marshall joined Columbia Pictures in 2008 as Senior Vice President, Business Affairs. Among the projects for which he’s overseen the deal making are projects within the Spider-Man universe including Venom and the Spider-Man: Homecoming collaboration with Marvel Studios and Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
Before joining Columbia Pictures, Marshall held the position of Executive Vice President of Business and Legal Affairs at Our Stories Films, and prior to that, Marshall was the head of Business and Legal Affairs at Marvel, where he helped prepare and execute the agreements for a slate of superhero films including The Hulk and Iron Man.
A Los Angeles native and member of the California State Bar and the Executives Branch of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Marshall is a graduate of Pepperdine School of Law and the University of California, Berkeley.
