Nalinya Davis

Born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Nalinya Davis is a third generation Southern University Jaguar athlete. Inducted into both the Baton Rouge Magnet High School and Southern University Sports Halls of Fame in 2019 and 2018, respectively, the Los Angeles based entertainment executive and global sports technology entrepreneur maintains areas of expertise in entertainment, labor and sports law.
In Spring 1999, Nalinya became a member of Alpha Kappa Sorority, Incorporated and was honored as “Best Opinions Writer” for the Southern University Digest. She studied abroad in Orizaba, Mexico and Salamanca, Spain, then graduated with Dean’s List honors from the inaugural class of the Nelson Mandela School of Public Policy in 2000 with dual degrees in Spanish and Political Science. The same year, she enrolled at the Loyola New Orleans School of Law. Prior to obtaining her juris doctorate degree with certificates in International Law and Poverty Law Clinic in 2003, she was selected by the United States Federal government as a Presidential Management Intern.
After moving to Los Angeles, CA in 2003, Nalinya immediately began making her mark in the entertainment world. Her resume boasts a progressive legal career at Universal Music Group, the Screen Actors Guild (now SAG-AFTRA), Saatchi & Saatchi International (Advertising), The Walt Disney Company, Disneyland Resort, the University of Southern California (USC), and most recently, Paramount Pictures Television Studios, where she currently serves as Vice President, Head of Casting Legal Affairs. Occasionally, Nalinya lends her entertainment expertise to companies of all sizes through her consulting company, Prowess Entertainment Group.
Nalinya also created a global internet sports scouting company, GladiatorCombine, Limited. GladiatorCombine empowers lesser-known, yet talented basketball, soccer, football and cricket athletes to self-promote to international teams, utilizing sports analytics data and other cutting-edge media tools.
In her spare time, Nalinya has served as a member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (Emmys), NAACP Image Awards Nominating Committee, Women in Film, and the National Association of Television Program Executives (NATPE) for the past decade. She regularly evaluates submissions and nominates candidates for Daytime Emmys, Primetime Emmys, Imagen Awards and NAACP Image Awards. She is an unfailingly devoted fan of New Orleans Saints, Southern University Jaguars, and LSU sports programs and enjoys traveling, playing volleyball, curating films, writing, and various epicurean pursuits.
