Shane D. Williams
Shane D. Williams was born and raised in Alexandria, Louisiana. Shane attended Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Urban Forestry in 2001, followed by a Master’s in Urban Forestry in 2002. Shane then entered law school, graduating from The Southern University Law Center with a law degree in 2005.
Shane began his Sports Agent career in 2007. Shane is currently a Certified Sports Agent with Overtime Sports Management Group, LLC (OSMG), where he is the Director of their South Division. Williams is certified through the National Football League Players Association (NFLPA), National Basketball Players Association (NBPA), and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) as a sports agent. As a sports agent, Shane has helped athletes from around the country reach their goals of playing professional sports. Williams and his team currently have over fifteen (15) clients playing in the NFL and others playing in the XFL, USFL and CFL. In addition, Shane and his team have negotiated over one hundred (100) million dollars in NFL contracts for their clients since 2008. During the 2022 NFL Draft, Williams and his team had three (3) NFL Draft picks and helped ten (10) other players sign undrafted NFL rookie contracts.
In addition, Williams is a Louisiana Licensed Attorney. Shane recently worked as the City Attorney for the City of Alexandria, Louisiana and is currently working as a Human Resources Consultant for the Louisiana Municipal Association (LMA) in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where he advises the LMA Executive Staff as well as Mayors from around the State of Louisiana on various Human Resources related matters. Shane also is the Managing Attorney at Shane D. Williams, Attorney at Law, LLC where he specializes in municipal law, personal injury, successions, and wills.
When he is not busy helping clients play in the NFL/NBA, litigating cases, or advising municipalities, Williams is active in community service. He served as the President of the Central Louisiana Homeless Coalition from 2013-2015. He also served as the President of the Alexandria Bar Association’s Young Lawyer Section in 2016-17.
Williams is currently the President of the Alexandria Bar Association. With this historic election, he is the first African American male President ever elected to the Alexandria Bar Association. Shane is also the Treasurer of the National Bar Association’s Region V Board of Governors. He is also active in his church, The WORD Christian Center, where he has served on the Board of Elders, Building Committee and as the church’s legal advisor.
He is happily married to Myra Williams, a 4th Grade Math Teacher and they have a 9-year-old-son.
