Tamara Woolfork

Tamara Woolfork currently serves as the Senior Vice President and Head of Business Affairs for Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions, a specialty film division of Sony Pictures Entertainment. In her current role, Ms. Woolfork negotiates acquisition, production, and distribution deals for motion pictures intended for release on a wide variety of platforms within both domestic and international territories.
Previously, she headed Business & Legal Affairs for Universal Brand Development, where she led an international legal team supporting the ancillary exploitation of theatrical brands such as the DESPICABLE ME/MINIONS franchise, encompassing consumer products, theatrical promotions, live events, and digital gaming. Ms. Woolfork began her entertainment career at The Walt Disney Company as production counsel overseeing all legal aspects of live action theatrical films such as CRIMSON TIDE and THE ROCK.
Ms. Woolfork is a member of the executive committee and board of directors for Outfest, a global non-profit organization dedicated to exhibiting and preserving LGBTQIA+ stories and developing emerging diverse filmmakers. She co-founded African American Associates in Downtown Law Firms, a Los Angeles bar association for corporate lawyers of color, during her tenure in the Litigation Department of Morrison & Foerster. Ms. Woolfork is a cum laude graduate of Harvard College and Duke University School of Law. She resides in Los Angeles.
