William J. Wilson

Professor William J. Wilson was admitted to practice on October 22, 2015. Professor Wilson is admitted to practice in all state courts of Louisiana, the Western, Middle and Eastern Districts of Louisiana, and the United States Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit. Additionally, Professor Wilson is a member of the American Bar Association, the Louisiana State Bar Association, ant the Baton Rouge Bar Association.
Professor Wilson has served on multiple committees for various national licensure enforcement and regulation organizations, including serving as Vice Chair of the Compliance & Discipline Subcommittee for the Council of Licensure, Enforcement and Regulation.
While in law school, Professor Wilson was an editor for the Southern University Law Center Law Review. In addition, he served as Co-Director of Veterans Advocacy Initiative for the ABA Law Student Division from 2012 to 2013. He also received CALI Awards in Advanced Legal Writing and Analysis, Constitutional Law II, and Legal Writing II and Oral Advocacy. Professor Wilson has been published in the Journal of Nursing Regulation and the Criminal Law Journal of the State Bar of California, and has also contributed to position papers concerning national licensure enforcement issues.
