USDA Discrimination Financial Assistance Program - January 2024 Update
The application period for the Discrimination Financial Assistance Program closed January 17, 2024. The National Administrator and Regional Hubs will review and score applications using a USDA-approved rubric. All eligible applications will be referred to USDA for approval of payments. Decisions will be made for all applications at the same time. The program administrators may send updates in the coming months to keep people apprised of the process. The Discrimination Financial Assistance Program call center will remain open until after program payments are made. Operating hours are from 8 a.m. EST to 8 p.m. PST, with English- and Spanish-speaking agents available, seven days per week (except Federal holidays) for the next several weeks, and weekdays after February 18, 2024. Questions may also be emailed to info@22007apply.gov. The DFAP Call Center will assist you with general inquiries at info@22007apply.gov or phone at 1-800-721-0970. The status of an application may be checked by calling 1-800-721-0970 or by visiting forms.22007apply.gov. Confirmation IDs are helpful to retrieve an application status update but not required. Payments for approved applications will be delivered by check through the U.S. mail shortly after decisions are made.
