Emergency Preparedness
Emergencies can happen at any time. The best way to handle situations that may arise is to be prepared. The Southern University Law Center (SULC) has a comprehensive Emergency Response Plan that will be implemented if necessary. SULC understands student’s needs and their family members’ concerns in the event of an emergency.
The administration, Crisis Management Team and University Police will work together to provide a safe and comfortable environment should an emergency arise. Please take time to familiarize yourself with this site, so that, in case of an emergency you will know what to do or where you can go to get information. An Emergency Procedures Manual is available to address specific emergency situations.
Please enroll in FirstCall, the university’s emergency notification system. You can enroll by clicking on the FirstCall icon. By registering, the FirstCall Network Emergency Notification Service, you will send instant alerts through voice, text, email, and other digital delivery methods, in case emergency.
