SULC Launches Corporate Clothes Closet with Donation from Alpha Tau Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

Southern University Law Center (SULC) has announced the launch of its Corporate Clothes Closet, a valuable new resource dedicated to supporting students in their career development journey. The launch will take place on Friday, October 18 at 11:30 a.m. in the SULC Atrium.
This initiative has been made possible by a generous initial donation from the Alpha Tau Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., which will be presented in celebration of their 90th Chapter anniversary.
"We are deeply grateful to the Alpha Tau Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. for their generous contribution," said Tracie Woods, vice chancellor of Corporate, Government, Judicial and Law Firm Relations. "This initiative will have a lasting impact on our students, equipping them with the confidence and resources needed to succeed in various professional environments."
Students are invited to join us for an insightful session where fellow peers will showcase both business casual and business professional attire. This runway presentation will also feature expert tips and guidance from the Office of Career Services, highlighting the crucial role of professional attire in career planning and development.
At noon, a special presentation will occur, where Vice Chancellor Woods, alongside the distinguished ladies of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., will formally present the freshly stocked racks, hangers, and attire to the SULC Corporate Clothes Closet. This donation aims to provide students with access to high-quality, gently used clothing for interviews, networking events, and professional presentations.
The Corporate Clothes Closet event marks a significant step towards fostering an empowering community at SULC, where every student has the opportunity to thrive professionally.
Students, faculty, and staff are invited to join in celebrating this event and to learn more about how professional attire can be a pivotal element in achieving career success.
