Distinguished Alumni Make Impact on Louisiana’s 21st Judicial District Court

Southern University Law Center’s impact on Louisiana’s judiciary is evident in the 21st Judicial District Court (Parishes of Livingston, Tangipahoa, and St. Helena), where four of the ten judges are proud SULC alumni.
Among the SULC alumni serving on the bench are Judge Brenda Bedsole Ricks (’84); Judge William S. Dykes (’02, not pictured); Judge Matthew S. Belser (’07); and Judge Jenny Richardson Fore (’13).
Together, these judges represent four different generations of Southern University Law Center graduates serving their communities through the administration of justice. Their presence on the bench reflects SULC’s longstanding commitment to preparing legal professionals for leadership, public service, and judicial excellence throughout Louisiana.
