Demario Butchee

Demario Butchee is a native of Ferguson, Missouri. Mr. Butchee received his BA with honors in Criminal Justice while minoring in Philosophy from Saint Xavier University in Chicago, IL. While attending Saint Xavier, Mr. Butchee interned with Barack Ferrazzano Kirschbaum & Nagelberg LLP prior to joining the firm as an Assistant to the Finance Department for a brief stint. Mr. Butchee concluded his time at BFKN to accept a legislative internship with United States Senator Tammy Duckworth of Illinois in Washington, D.C. on Capitol Hill. While a legislative intern on Capitol Hill, Mr. Butchee assisted legislative aids with several issues including voting rights, criminal justice reform, and education. Currently, Mr. Butchee is a 2L at Southern University Law Center. Since Mr. Butchee has begun his matriculation at Southern University Law Center, he has clerked with the Prince George's County State's Attorney's Office within the Circuit Court, while simultaneously interning with the 21st JDC Public Defenders Officer remotely. Mr. Butchee currently serves as a Legal Fellow with the Louisiana Legislative Black Caucus aiding with the legal research of legislation, drafting of legislation, and developing strategies to thwart voter suppression among African Americans.
