Jaélyn Chappell

Jaélyn Chappell is a 2L part-time evening student from Indianapolis, IN. She is a first-generation college graduate and the first in her family to pursue a law degree. Jaélyn has an interest and passion to use her skills and knowledge to help others. This is illustrated in her past work as a Fellow for the Pre-Law Program for the University of Houston Law Center as well as her former internship with the East Baton Rouge Public Defender Office. Currently, she is a Strategic Partnership Fellow with the Office of Innovation and Strategic Partnership and Initiatives with Southern University Law Center. Working with the community and learning the effects of policy, Jaélyn has developed an eagerness to further her experience with policy and legislation.
