Judge Sheva Sims Secures Donation For NAWJ Initiative

The National Association of Women Judges recently recieved a donation of five boxes of books from the Shreve Memorial Library Friends, Inc. This contribution was made possible by the tireless efforts of NAWJ District 6 Director and SULC Alumna, Judge Shreva M. Sims. Captain Jim Gavin, the president of Shreve Memorial Library Friends, Inc. present the books to Judge Sims in Shreveport, LA.
The NAWJ's Women in Prison Initiative is a program that brings together judges, attorneys, and other professionals to assist in providing resources to incarcerated women. As a part of this outreach the NAWJ Women in Prison, District 6 collects donations of the following items: paperback books, soap, lotion, sanitary items, deodorant, toothpaste, mouthwash, toothbrushes and underwear (all sizes). If you wish to give any of the listed items, donations are accepted at Greater ProVision Christian Church, 3449 Gorton Road, Shreveport, LA 7119.
