Lt. Governor Billy Nungesser will address SULC, March 15

The Southern University Law Center Maritime Law Society will host a presentation by Lt. Governor Billy Nungesser at noon Tuesday, March 15, 2016, in Room 227 A. A. Lenoir Hall.
Lt. Gov. Nungesser will share his plans for Louisiana Tourism, including promotion of Louisiana seafood.
“We are pleased to have the opportunity to have the Lt. Governor come to SULC and applaud the efforts of our student leaders in providing opportunities to highlight the various areas of the practice of law that interests them,” said Interim Chancellor John K. Pierre. “Troy Parria is not only vice president of the Maritime Law Society, but a member of the Louisiana Seafood Promotion and Marketing Board, representing the Louisiana Shrimp Association.”
Nungesser was elected Louisiana’s Lt. Governor on November 21, 2015. In that role he is not only second in command in the executive branch, but also the state’s ambassador as Commissioner of the Louisiana Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism. A founding member of the Plaquemines Association of Business and Industry, Nungesser was named one of the state’s “Top CEOs” by Louisiana Life Magazine in 2002.
Tony’s Seafood, SULC Student Bar Association, and the SULC Maritime Law Society will provide lunch for the event.
