Her new book on racial reconciliation, Be Bold: How to Prepare Your Heart and Mind for Racial Reconciliation, officially released in October 2020. Living and working in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the book was inspired after the tragic death of George Floyd. She believes that when true exploration of self and healing begin, we can all boldly walk into our purposes. This exploration will lead to listening and learning. Listening and Learning require courageous conversations and an open heart and mind. Change will not take place until we can come together and find common ground, one discussion at a time. After boldly having courage to have these discussions, racial reconciliation can begin, starting with examining our hearts and minds. The Burrell 4L formula for being Bold= Loving, Listening, Learning, and Leading. For more information about LaToya or her book, please visit www.theboldlatoyaburrell.com.
