The Oliver B. Spellman Law Library at the Southern University Law Center is a friendly, comfortable, and well-equipped legal research library that supports the curriculum, programs and clinics of the law center. The law library has an impressive print collection of books and manuscripts, as well as access to pages of online documents. For research assistance, legal reference librarians are available at the Reference Desk during the following hours (with the exception of Holidays and breaks between semesters):

Alumnus practices medicine and law thanks to SULC (News)
Neurosurgeon Anthony Ioppolo says he now practices medicine and law thanks to the Southern University Law Center (SULC), which provided him the opportunity to do so. “It (law studies at SULC) was a perfect fit and I have had no regrets,” said Ioppolo, who matriculated as an Evening Division student.

Admission FAQs
Limited dormitory accommodations are available for law students. All students desiring to live in campus housing are required to submit an application to the Housing Office in addition to a security deposit of $50. Applications should be made to the Director of Housing, Southern University, as early as possible.
