SU Law Review editors announce inaugural recent developments series
Editors of the Southern University Law Review are proud to announce their inaugural recent developments series titled “Contemporary Issues in Louisiana Law.”
This issue of the Law Review features concise but in-depth discussions of cutting-edge issues in Louisiana law. The goal of this new series is to provide a resource for lawyers and judges across the state who are grappling with the sometimes difficult, complex, and unresolved issues that frequently come up in the law.
Topics range from successions and criminal procedure to torts, evidence, and notaries. “The editorial board of the Southern University Law Review is truly honored that five distinguished members of our faculty contributed to this inaugural series,” said Rachel Dunaway, editor-in-chief of the Law Review. “The articles highlight not only the professors’ wealth of knowledge about their relevant practice areas, but also their passion for the law and educating students and the entire legal community.”
Authors and their topics include Prof. Dorothy Jackson, successions law; Prof. Michelle Ghetti, criminal procedure; Prof. Shenequa Grey, evidence; Prof. Gail Stephenson, Louisiana notaries; and Prof. Thomas Richard, tort law.
The Law Review staff anticipates that hard copies of the issue will be mailed out to subscribers in late winter/early spring. The articles can be accessed electronically through the Law Review’s website.
