Photo Recap - October 27, 2022
The Louis A. Berry Institute for Civil Rights and Justice is hosting Southern University Law Center’s Capital Area Judicial Honors as a part of Southern University Law Center’s 75th-anniversary celebration. The event will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2022, in the Smith-Brown Memorial Union Royal Cotillion Ballroom at 6 p.m.
The Capital Area Judicial Honors program will recognize and honor judges who have “Opened Doors” through their service to the community. We look forward to celebrating our local leaders on the bench who have broken barriers and paved the way for others. There will be several highlighted moments of the evening’s celebration, including unveiling of the official Louisiana state poster of Black judges. The Honorable Judge William Jorden will moderate a brief discussion on SULC’s contributions to advancements in our judiciary, Quality Music Productions will provide musical entertainment, and dinner will be served.
